Map Contents—Search

THE GIS TOOLBAR

Click on the Tool, then draw a box with your mouse and zoom  to the extent.

Click on the Tool, then draw a box with your mouse to zoom out.

Click on the Tool to zoom back to the full extent of Idaho in the map, also clears any visible map graphics.

Click on the Tool to zoom to the previously saved extent.

Click on the Tool to zoom to the next saved extent.

Click on the Tool, click the map holding you left mouse button and pan across the Map.

Click on the Tool, while zoomed into a well location, click the well or other GIS feature with your mouse to display attributes about the visible layers from the Map’s Table of Contents.

Toggles attributes between various layers.

Click the Well Data Link to display chemical samples collected from each well Location.

The Save to Excel button will export the well chemical samples in EXCEL format for downloading.

Default Navigation Tools Using the Mouse and Keyboard

 

     Drag the mouse to pan

     Mouse Scroll Forward to Zoom in

     Mouse Scroll Backward to Zoom out

     SHIFT + Drag the mouse to Zoom in

     SHIFT + CONTROL + Drag the mouse to Zoom out

     SHIFT + Click to recenter

     Double Click to Center and Zoom in

     SHIFT + double Click to Center and Zoom in

     Use arrow keys to Pan

 

Once a navigation tool from the toolbar has been activated, the mouse scrolling for zooming in and out is disabled.

Toggle BaseMaps

 

Click to change the underlying BaseMaps, provided by ESRI, Microsoft, Google Maps, and the USGS..

The Identify Tool w/Hyperlink

Using your mouse, click the left mouse button while dragging a box, start bottom-right or Top Right  The attributes for the selected wells will display below the map.

The XY button activates the Zoom to Latitude/Longitude dialog at the bottom of the Map.  Enter coordinates in either Degrees/Minutes/Seconds or Decimal Degrees and ZOOM to that location.

The Search Box: Type in a Place Name, City, Street Address, Longitude, Latitude (Decimal Degrees); click the magnifying glass to zoom to that location
