The Ground Water Monitoring application is a collection of GIS layers and tools developed to display the locations of ground water monitoring projects and sampling data throughout Idaho. For more information about DEQ’s Ground Water Program, please click: Ground Water Monitoring in Idaho.
The SEARCH Tab lists Idaho Counties, select a County and click GO, the map will zoom to the County and display a list of wells (if available) at the bottom of the map. Type in the Nitrate (NO3) or Arsenic (As) concentration to highlight and list wells that satisfy a query.
The LAYERS tab displays the list of layers in the mapping project and the legend or symbology for each layer.

After selecting a County of interest, click on the SITEID to zoom to the well location, click the Well Data link to list the sampling data for each well, from the list at the bottom of the map. |

When the map reaches a certain scale, the layers in the Table of Contents will activate and are now available to be turned on or off.
The Map Layers tab displays the Map Legend and provides the capability to turn on or off GIS layers in the mapping application. Click the + button to expand, or the - button to contract the legend groupings. Toggle the Checkbox þ to the left of each layer to turn the layer on or off. Layers become active when the map is zoomed in to a larger scale. |
